Man Sleeping on Pavement Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident

A tragic hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a 55-year-old man who was sleeping on the pavement below the Mint flyover junction. E. Nagaraj, a resident of Ernavoor, was resting beneath the Mint bridge on Sunday night when an unidentified vehicle executed a U-turn below the bridge, striking him in the process.

The vehicle then sped away from the scene at a high speed. Although Nagaraj was rushed to the Government Stanley Hospital for treatment of severe injuries to his body and hands, he tragically succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.

The Washermenpet Traffic Investigation Wing police are actively searching for the vehicle responsible for the accident, and the case has now been classified as a fatal accident.
