Mass Shooting in Maine Prompts Manhunt

A massive manhunt is underway in Maine for the gunman who killed 22 people in two mass shooting incidents. Two active shooting incidents occurred in Lewiston, Maine, at the Sparetime Recreation bowling alley and Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant. The shooter has been identified as a 40-year-old person of interest, Robert Card, who is currently at large.

Card, a trained firearms instructor and member of the US Army Reserves had recently reported mental health issues. Hundreds of officers are involved in the search for cards. The Central Maine Medical Center confirmed treating multiple victims and schools in the area remained closed. President Joe Biden has been informed of the incident and offered federal support. Lewiston is a city located north of Portland, Maine.
