Massive Winter Storm Disrupts Power, Travel Across U.S.

A huge winter storm has hit many parts of the United States, causing serious problems across the country. More than one million people have lost electricity, thousands of flights have been cancelled or delayed, and several people have died because of the severe weather.

The storm brought heavy snow, freezing rain, and very cold temperatures from the southern states to the Northeast. The bad weather caused trees and power lines to fall, leading to large power cuts in many areas. Officials in dozens of states reported widespread damage and outages.

Tennessee is one of the worst-hit states. More than three lakh people there are without power after thick ice weighed down and broke trees and electric poles. Roads are blocked, and travel has become dangerous.

In Nashville, the local electricity service warned that power cuts could last for several days or even longer. Repair teams are working hard to restore electricity, but they are facing risky conditions due to ice, snow, and damaged equipment.

Authorities have advised people to stay indoors, avoid travel, and take safety precautions until the weather improves.
