Modi Launches ₹4,000 Crore Projects in Sikkim
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Sikkim on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, to take part in the closing ceremony marking 50 years of Sikkim becoming a full state of India.
During the celebrations, the Prime Minister launched and inaugurated development projects worth more than ₹4,000 crore for the state. These projects are aimed at improving the lives of people across Sikkim and boosting the state’s future growth.
The new projects cover many important sectors, including roads and infrastructure, better connectivity, healthcare services, education facilities, power supply, urban development, environmental protection, tourism, and agriculture.
