Naxalites Trigger IED Blast, Narrow Escape for Two Cops in Chhattisgarh

Two police personnel had a narrow escape when Naxalites detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) near Somanpalli village on Kutru-Farsegarh road in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.

The incident occurred while the SHO of Farsegarh police station, Akash Masih, and constable Sanjay were heading to Bijapur town for government work. Although the blast damaged the car’s bonnet, neither occupant was harmed. Security personnel launched a combing operation in the area following the incident.
