Outrage Mounts Over Failure of Prosecution in Riyas Moulavi Case

Amidst mounting frustration, several Muslim organizations have staged protests against the perceived failure of the prosecution and police in securing convictions for RSS men accused in the murder of Riyas Moulavi. The Muslim Youth League led a march in Kottakkal, accusing the State government of facilitating the escape of RSS suspects and alleging that the Home department has capitulated to RSS influence.

Expressing shock over the acquittals despite substantial evidence, the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama has raised concerns about potential collusion between the accused and the prosecution, sparking suspicions of a compromised judicial process. Meanwhile, accusations fly as political tensions escalate, with MLA K.T. Jaleel accusing the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) of attempting to politicize the case and suggesting fear of reprisal from central authorities as a motivating factor.
