PM Modi Highlights India’s Progress and Challenges in Independence Day Speech

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation for nearly 90 minutes on the 77th Independence Day, emphasizing his government’s achievements and the nation’s challenges and opportunities. He called on citizens not to miss the chance to realize India’s potential, as decisions and sacrifices made now will shape the nation’s future for the next millennium.

He envisioned India as a developed nation by 2047 and stressed the country’s role in shaping the emerging global order post-COVID pandemic. The Prime Minister unveiled plans for the ‘Vishwakarma Yojana,’ which will allocate ₹13,000 to ₹15,000 crore for individuals with traditional skills.

He also announced an upcoming scheme to provide bank loan relief for urban middle-class families aiming to own houses. Despite being his last Independence Day speech before the 2024 Lok Sabha election, PM Modi expressed confidence in addressing the nation next year from the Red Fort to report on the progress of his promises.
