Police Commemoration Day Honors Sacrifices of Brave Officers

Rich tributes were paid on Police Commemoration Day to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The Flag Day parade took place at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial, and Director General of Police Anjani Kumar led the officials in paying their respects. Former national security advisor M. K. Narayanan, state home secretary Jitender, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandaliya, and various Additional DGPs and senior officials were present.

Retired DGPs, other retired officials, and their family members also attended the event. The DGP marked the occasion by releasing a book and emphasizing the significance of the day. He mentioned that in the past year, 189 police officers across the country had laid down their lives in the line of duty. Anjani Kumar saluted the ground-level officers for their dedication and efficiency in the face of numerous challenges.
