Pragyan Ojha Appointed New Chairman of BCCI Men’s Selection Committee

Former Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha has been appointed as the new chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) men’s selection committee. He replaces former chairman Ajit Agarkar, whose term ended on October 4.

Ojha initially took charge as the interim chairman after Agarkar’s tenure came to an end. He has now been officially appointed to the position on a permanent basis. The announcement was made on Monday.

Pragyan Ojha is a former Indian international cricketer who played as a left-arm spinner. During his playing career, he represented India in international cricket and was known for his bowling performances. His experience in the game is expected to help him in his new role.

As chairman, Ojha will lead the selection committee responsible for choosing players for the Indian men’s cricket team. The committee plays an important role in selecting squads for international matches and major tournaments. Its decisions are based on players’ performances, fitness, team requirements and future plans.

In another development, former India cricketer Ramesh Powar has also been included in the men’s selection committee. His appointment brings additional experience to the panel.

The selection committee will now continue its work under Ojha’s leadership, with the responsibility of identifying players and building a strong team for upcoming international competitions.

The appointments mark a change in the leadership and composition of the BCCI men’s selection committee.
