Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s recent visit to Beijing could be seen as groundwork for these forthcoming interactions.

While acknowledging the importance of the close ties between Russia and China, Peskov emphasized that it is premature to outline exact dates for such meetings. Although Reuters previously reported a potential visit by Putin to China in May, the Kremlin has refrained from confirming any specific schedule at this stage.
