Selaqui Strikers Win Dehradun T20 League 2026

Selaqui Strikers became the champions of the inaugural Dehradun T20 League 2026 after defeating Mussoorie Thunders by 39 runs in the final. The match was affected by rain and was reduced to 16 overs per side, but it still produced an exciting contest.

After losing the toss, Selaqui Strikers were asked to bat first. They started their innings carefully before wicketkeeper-batter Vijay Sharma changed the course of the match with a spectacular performance.

Sharma played one of the most impressive innings of the tournament, scoring an unbeaten 103 runs from just 31 balls. His innings included five fours and 12 sixes. His powerful hitting helped Selaqui Strikers score 192/3 in their 16 overs, giving Mussoorie Thunders a difficult target of 193 runs to win the final.

Mussoorie Thunders got off to a poor start during the chase. Both their opening batters were dismissed when the team had scored only nine runs. Despite the early setback, Anmol Shah, captain Akhil Singh Rawat and Jonty tried to bring their team back into the game.

Anmol Shah scored 28 runs, while captain Akhil Singh Rawat contributed 32. Jonty also played an attacking innings of 29 runs. However, they could not maintain the required scoring rate for long.

Selaqui Strikers’ bowlers continued to take wickets at important moments. Nishu Patel and Siddharth Gupta were the leading bowlers, taking three wickets each. Priyank Singh and Abhay Kshetri also picked up one wicket apiece.

Mussoorie Thunders were eventually bowled out for 153 runs in 14.4 overs. As a result, Selaqui Strikers won the final by 39 runs and lifted the Dehradun T20 League title in its first season.

Several players were recognised for their performances throughout the tournament. Vijay Sharma was named Player of the Match for his outstanding unbeaten century in the final. His explosive innings played a major role in Selaqui’s victory.

Piyush Joshi received the Best Batter award after scoring 193 runs in five innings. Priyank Singh was named Best Bowler after taking 13 wickets during the tournament. Mussoorie Thunders’ Anshul Kumar was selected as the Emerging Player of the Tournament.

Priyank Singh also received the Player of the Tournament award for his strong all-round contribution throughout the competition.

The first season of the Dehradun T20 League ended with an exciting final and several memorable individual performances. Selaqui Strikers’ impressive batting and disciplined bowling helped them become the first champions of the tournament.
