Srikkanth Warns PBKS About Chepauk Wicket

After scoring just six runs in his first match for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2026, former India captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth has urged Sanju Samson to perform well at Chepauk. This venue is the same one where Samson made a significant comeback during India’s victory in the T20 World Cup last month.

Samson joined CSK in a major player swap before IPL 2026, leaving Rajasthan Royals after 12 seasons. However, his start with CSK was shaky as he was dismissed for six runs in the opener against his former team by Nandre Burger.

Srikkanth highlighted Samson’s familiarity with Chepauk from the World Cup and suggested he take time to adapt before playing aggressively. He expressed confidence that Samson would perform well there, calling it the ideal place for him to regain form.

“I believe Sanju will play a strong innings against PBKS,” Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel. “Chepauk is perfect for him to return to top form.”
