Terrorist Attack Claims Life of Bihar Worker in Anantnag

In a tragic incident, terrorists shot dead Raju Shah, a resident of Bihar, in Jablipora, Bijbehara, Anantnag in south Kashmir, just days before the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The attack resulted in Shah succumbing to his injuries at the hospital. Following the militant assault, security forces initiated extensive search operations in the area to locate the perpetrators.

This incident adds to the ongoing violence targeting non-locals in the Kashmir Valley, as seen in a previous attack on a driver in Shopian earlier in April. Concurrently, security forces made significant strides in counter-terrorism efforts, uncovering a hideout and apprehending suspects in Poonch and Anantnag districts. These operations led to the recovery of improvised explosive devices and arms, underscoring the complex security challenges in the region.
