Terrorist Killed in Encounter with Indian Army in J&K’s Reasi District

In Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, the Indian Army announced on Friday that it had discovered the body of a terrorist. According to Lt. Colonel Suneel Bartwal, a spokesman for the defense ministry, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the J&K Police, has been conducting continuous operations in the jungle areas of Reasi District.

While on a mission near Dhakikot on the night of August 17, the troops observed suspicious movement and challenged an unidentified individual. The person attempted to escape but stumbled and fell down a cliff in the dense jungle.

Following a search operation alongside J&K Police and village defense committee members the next morning, the body of a likely foreign terrorist was discovered, along with warlike stores. The operation remains ongoing.
