Texas Thunderstorms Cause Widespread Destruction

Severe thunderstorms caused major damage in parts of Texas last night, bringing strong winds, destruction, and injuries to several communities.

The storms hit multiple areas with powerful winds that tore roofs off buildings, damaged homes and businesses, and sent debris flying through the air. In Mineral Wells, a small city located about 72 kilometres west of Fort Worth, many houses and commercial buildings suffered serious damage.

Several families were forced to evacuate their homes due to unsafe conditions caused by the storm. Emergency crews responded quickly to help affected residents and assess the destruction.

At least two people were hospitalized with injuries, while several others with minor injuries received treatment at the scene. Authorities said there were no immediate reports of deaths or missing persons.

This severe weather event follows another powerful storm earlier in the week that produced tornadoes in northern Texas, killing at least two people and displacing around 20 families.

Meteorologists reported that the latest storms may have included an unconfirmed tornado, as large storm systems moved southeast through north-central Texas.

Officials continue to monitor weather conditions as cleanup and recovery efforts begin. Residents in affected areas are being urged to remain cautious due to the possibility of additional severe weather.
