Title: Dr S Jaishankar Discusses Nepal Relief Efforts

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has shared an update on India’s ongoing rescue and relief efforts in Nepal following the recent floods and landslides in the country.

In a social media post, Jaishankar said that the Indian missions in Kathmandu and Beijing are closely monitoring the situation and keeping track of the safety and well-being of Indian citizens in the affected areas.

The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is working with local authorities to collect information about Indian nationals who may have been affected by the disaster. Officials are also helping people who need assistance and coordinating efforts to provide support.

Jaishankar also said that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has received information about additional relief supplies being sent to Nepal. These supplies are expected to support rescue teams and people affected by the floods and landslides.

India has been closely following the situation in Nepal because several areas have been badly affected by heavy rainfall, flooding, and difficult weather conditions. Roads and other transport routes have also been damaged in some places, making rescue and relief work more challenging.

The Indian government is coordinating with its diplomatic missions and Nepalese authorities to help ensure that Indian citizens receive assistance. Families in India who are concerned about relatives travelling in Nepal are also waiting for updates about their safety.

The latest update from Jaishankar highlights India’s continued support for Nepal during the emergency. Rescue teams and relief agencies are working to reach affected communities, provide essential supplies, and move people from dangerous areas to safer locations.

The situation remains serious in several parts of Nepal, and authorities are continuing to monitor weather conditions and river levels. India is expected to continue providing humanitarian assistance as Nepal carries out rescue and recovery operations.
