Tourists Rescued After Being Stranded in Telangana Forest Amid Heavy Rain
Eighty-two tourists, who went to see the Mutyam Dhara waterfall in Telangana’s Mulugu district, were rescued after being stranded in the forest due to heavy rain. The overflowing water had cut off their passageway on Wednesday, leaving them stranded.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and district police conducted a joint rescue operation early on Thursday morning. The tourists were saved after one of them alerted authorities through the Dial-100 helpline. Meanwhile, in a similar incident, some individuals are also stranded in Bhupalpalli due to heavy rains, with police teams working to reach critical areas.
