Tragic Fatality on Chennai’s Roads: Cyclist Killed by Speeding Car

In a devastating incident on the Maduravoyal Bypass Road near Kundrathur, a 22-year-old cyclist lost his life after being struck by a speeding car on April 2, 2023. The victim, identified as S. Rahul, was cycling with friends when the accident occurred early in the morning. The driver of the car, S. Adithyan, a 30-year-old postgraduate student, was arrested by the Chromepet Traffic Investigation Police for causing the collision.

Despite efforts to evade the cyclist, Rahul was fatally thrown off his bike upon impact. The tragedy underscores the importance of road safety awareness and vigilance among motorists and cyclists alike, urging for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations to prevent such heartbreaking incidents in the future.
