Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Life of 57-Year-Old Painter in Chennai

In a tragic hit-and-run incident on Wednesday night, a 57-year-old man, identified as V. Sivakumar, lost his life while sleeping on a pavement in Kottivakkam, Chennai. Sivakumar, a resident of Kalathu Mettu Street, was engaged in steel polishing and painting jobs.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. when a speeding vehicle struck him and fled the scene, leaving him fatally injured. Despite efforts by locals to rescue him, Sivakumar succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The Guindy Traffic Investigation Police have launched an investigation, with CCTV footage being scrutinized to identify the vehicle and apprehend the driver responsible for the accident.
