UK MP Priti Patel Supports India’s Right to Defend, Claims Pakistan Hid Osama bin Laden
UK Member of Parliament (MP) Priti Patel has strongly supported India’s right to defend itself against any threats. She also accused Pakistan of hiding Osama bin Laden, the leader of the terrorist group al-Qaeda, for years.
Patel made these statements during a recent speech, where she spoke about the growing security concerns in the region. She emphasized that India has the right to protect its borders and its citizens from any external threats, including terrorism. Patel pointed out that the UK and India share common values, such as democracy and the fight against terrorism, and that India should not be limited in its efforts to defend itself.
The UK MP also brought up the controversial issue of Osama bin Laden’s presence in Pakistan. She claimed that Pakistan knowingly sheltered bin Laden, who was responsible for the 9/11 attacks in the United States. Bin Laden was found and killed by US Navy SEALs in Pakistan in 2011, leading to widespread criticism of Pakistan for allowing him to stay in the country for so long. Patel’s comments suggest that Pakistan’s actions were not just negligent but intentional, and that it played a role in allowing dangerous individuals to operate freely within its borders.
Patel’s remarks have sparked a debate about the role of Pakistan in regional security and counter-terrorism efforts. Many people have praised her for speaking out against Pakistan’s actions, while others argue that such statements may worsen relations between the two countries.
India has long accused Pakistan of harboring terrorists and supporting militant groups that operate in Indian-administered Kashmir and other areas. Pakistan has denied these allegations, but tensions between the two nations remain high.
Patel also highlighted the importance of international cooperation in combating terrorism and ensuring that countries act responsibly in securing global peace. She urged the international community to hold nations accountable for harboring terrorists and to support efforts to strengthen global security.
Her comments come at a time when India is facing increasing security challenges, and many in the country believe that Pakistan continues to support anti-India activities.
