Unbeaten India Face Afghanistan in U19 Semifinal
Five-time champions India will aim to continue their strong run in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 as they face Afghanistan in the second semifinal in Harare on Wednesday. The Boys in Blue have remained unbeaten so far and will be hoping to enter the final without losing a single match.
India have shown excellent form throughout the tournament. The team gained extra confidence after a solid Super 6 victory over Pakistan, which boosted their chances of reaching the final. Their batting, bowling, and fielding have all looked balanced, making them one of the strongest sides in the competition.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan have also impressed everyone with their performances. This is their third semifinal appearance, after reaching this stage in 2018 and 2022, showing their steady progress in youth cricket.
Led by Mahboob Khan, the Afghan team has played fearless cricket. They began their campaign with a win over South Africa, followed by victories against West Indies and Tanzania in the group stage. Their consistent results helped them secure a place in the knockout rounds.
With both teams in good form, the semifinal promises to be an exciting contest. India will rely on their experience and winning record, while Afghanistan will look to create history by reaching the final for the first time.
