Woman and Associate Arrested in Karnataka for Blackmailing MBA Student

In Karnataka, police arrested a woman named Nayana and her associate, Kiran, for allegedly blackmailing a female MBA student with a private video. Nayana, who is related to the victim, ran a hotel in Kenchanapura. The victim, an MBA graduate, had frequented the hotel with her partner, and the accused encouraged them to spend time in a hotel room, capturing their private moments.

Kiran then edited the footage and sent it to the girl on WhatsApp, demanding Rs 1 lakh from her and threatening to share the video on social media and with her contacts if she didn’t comply. The victim reported the incident to the Chandra Layout police, leading to the arrest of the accused and their subsequent judicial custody.
