OnePlus Realme Merge Key Operations

OnePlus and Realme are reportedly making major internal changes in China by restructuring parts of their operations.
According to recent reports, both smartphone brands are combining several key internal departments in an effort to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and streamline product development.
As part of this restructuring, the companies have created a new shared sub-product center that will manage both domestic and global product development teams under one operational system.
The new unit will reportedly be led by Li Jie, who currently heads OnePlus China. In his expanded role, he will report directly to Liu Zuohu, the founder and CEO of OPPO.
Wang Wei, formerly a vice-president at Realme, will serve as deputy general manager and report directly to Li Jie.
While the two brands are merging important operational functions behind the scenes, they are expected to continue operating as separate brands in terms of marketing, branding, and customer identity.
This means consumers will likely still see OnePlus and Realme as distinct brands with their own market strategies, even though internal processes may increasingly overlap.
The restructuring reflects a broader strategy to strengthen competitiveness while improving operational efficiency in the highly competitive smartphone market.
