Modi Inaugurates Seva Teerth, Kartavya Bhavan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today unveiled the name of a new government building complex, Seva Teerth, in the national capital, New Delhi.

Later in the evening, the Prime Minister will formally inaugurate Seva Teerth along with Kartavya Bhavan-1 and 2 and address a public programme at the new complex. The inauguration highlights the government’s focus on creating a modern, efficient, and citizen-friendly administrative system.

Seva Teerth will house key offices such as the Prime Minister’s Office, the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat. Earlier, these offices were located in different buildings across the city. The new complex brings them together in one place, making coordination easier and improving administrative efficiency.

Kartavya Bhavan-1 and 2 will accommodate several important ministries, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Both complexes are equipped with digitally integrated offices, structured public service areas, and centralised reception facilities. These features are designed to improve coordination between departments, speed up decision-making, and provide better services to citizens.

Officials said the new buildings will also improve employee working conditions and promote smoother governance. The project is seen as part of the government’s broader plan to modernise administrative infrastructure and make governance more transparent and accessible to the public.
