Daniel Radcliffe Recalls Frightening Near-Drowning On Set
Actor Daniel Radcliffe recently spoke about a frightening near-drowning experience while filming underwater scenes for the 2005 movie “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, according to reports.
The 36-year-old actor shared the story during an appearance on the popular talk show Hot Ones, hosted by Sean Evans, when he was asked about “close calls” on movie sets.
Radcliffe explained that he had to undergo six weeks of intensive dive training to prepare for the underwater sequences in the film. Despite the training, he recalled a tense moment on set where things almost went wrong.
The actor said that while filming, he found himself struggling underwater, which made the scene extremely scary for him. He admitted that it was a moment that could have turned dangerous but thankfully, he was able to get through it safely.
Radcliffe also reflected on the experience as a reminder of the physical challenges actors face when performing complex or risky stunts. He praised the crew and safety team on set, saying their support was crucial in helping him complete the scenes.
