Rajnath Singh Emphasizes SCO’s Role in Challenging Times

Rajnath Singh highlighted the importance of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) during its Defence Ministers’ Meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
He said that at a time when the world is becoming more divided, the SCO plays an important role in bringing countries together and encouraging cooperation.
Singh described the SCO region as a meeting point of ancient civilizations, where trade, culture, and people have connected for centuries. He also said that India has historically served as an important bridge where different cultures and commerce have flourished together.
During his speech, Singh paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and spoke about Operation Sindoor, which reflected India’s firm response to terrorism.
He stressed that India remains strongly committed to fighting terrorism in all forms.
Singh also referred to last year’s Tianjin Declaration, which showed that SCO member nations share a united commitment to combat terrorism collectively.
Overall, his speech focused on regional unity, cultural cooperation, and stronger joint action against terrorism.
