Red Sox Beat Orioles in Thrilling Game

Nick Sogard’s two-run homer in the eighth inning gave the Boston Red Sox a 6-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles. The game was tied at 3-3 before Sogard’s decisive hit. Earlier, Adley Rutschman homered twice for the Orioles, but their offense faded after the fourth inning. Luis De León took the loss for Baltimore after allowing Sogard’s homer.

In Houston, Jose Altuve and Daulton Varsho led the Astros to a 6-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. The Astros extended their lead in the AL West.

The Toronto Blue Jays moved closer to the wild-card spot with a 6-3 win over the Cleveland Guardians. Brett Bateman had three hits, and Nathan Lukes delivered a two-run double. Tanner Bibee took the loss for Cleveland.

Pittsburgh defeated San Francisco 2-1, thanks to six relievers combining for a two-hitter. Rookie Khristian Curtis earned the win, and Mason Montgomery saved the game. The Pirates’ strong defense helped them secure the victory.

The Chicago Cubs beat Milwaukee 3-1, with Kevin Gausman pitching seven sharp innings. Pete Crow-Armstrong hit his 39th homer, tying him for the NL home run lead.

Texas blanked Tampa Bay 4-0 as Cal Quantrill pitched seven strong innings. Corey Seager’s two-run homer highlighted the Rangers’ win. The Rangers remain close to a wild-card spot.
