Railway Recruitment Board Opens Applications for 1,688 Jobs

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced recruitment for 1,688 vacancies under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). The recruitment includes several clerical and commercial positions, offering opportunities for candidates who have completed Class 10 or Class 12, depending on the post.

The vacancies include positions such as Train Clerk, Commercial Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk Typist and Junior Clerk Typist. Eligible candidates will be able to submit their applications online through the official RRB website.

The online application process is scheduled to begin on October 15, 2026, and candidates can apply until November 13, 2026. Applicants should make sure they meet the educational and age requirements before submitting their forms.

Candidates selected for these positions will receive a starting basic salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹21,700, depending on the pay level of the post.

The age limit is 18 to 30 years, with the age calculated as of January 1, 2027. Candidates belonging to eligible reserved categories may receive age relaxation according to government rules.

The application fee is ₹500 for general category candidates, while eligible candidates from reserved categories will have to pay ₹250. Fee concessions or refunds, where applicable, will be provided according to the recruitment rules.

The selection process will include two computer-based tests, followed by document verification. Candidates who qualify at each stage will move forward in the recruitment process.
