1,000 Volunteers Initiate Survey for North Chennai Development

A significant step towards the development of north Chennai begins as 1,000 volunteers undertake a comprehensive survey to identify infrastructure deficits and gaps in the area. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin urged the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) to execute the ₹1,000-crore redevelopment project over the next three years as part of the Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam initiative.

The survey, launched by CMDA and HR&CE Minister P.K. Sekarbabu in Thiru Vi Ka Nagar, aims to gather crucial data to facilitate better projects for the growth and progress of north Chennai. The survey will cover regions like Tiruvottiyur, Manali, Madhavaram, Tondiarpet, Royapuram, Thiru Vi Ka Nagar, Kolathur, and Anna Nagar. Thirteen public consultations will also be held in various parts of north Chennai to ensure community involvement and inclusivity in the development program.
