30 al-Shabab militants killed by Somalian force
On Wednesday, the Somali National Army’s elite forces engaged in a fierce gun battle with al-Shabab militants in the Middle Shabelle region of central Somalia, resulting in the death of 30 militants, as confirmed by officials. Deputy Minister for Information, Abdirahman Yusuf Al-Adala, reported that the military operation targeted the militants who were planning attacks.
The special forces, Danab, and Gor-for units successfully carried out the operation and also seized weapons and military equipment while destroying terrorist bases. The Somali government’s efforts to counter al-Shabab’s activities continue as the extremist group remains a significant security threat in the region.
