Allegations of Discrimination Against Dalit Leader Spark Outrage at Yadadri Temple

Accusations of discrimination against Deputy Chief Minister M. Bhatti Vikramarka during a visit to the Yadagiri Laxmi Narasimhaswamy temple have stirred controversy, with opposition parties Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) condemning the incident. BRS leaders asserted that Vikramarka and another minister were seated on lower pedestals while the Chief Minister and other ministers occupied higher ones, highlighting it as discrimination against Dalit and Backward Classes (BC) leaders.

They demanded an apology from CM A. Revanth Reddy and called for action against those responsible, even suggesting the registration of an SC, ST Atrocities case. BSP State President R.S. Praveen Kumar criticized the incident, denouncing the Congress party’s alleged lack of respect for the Dalit community and its failure to address previous incidents of discrimination and violence against Dalits.
