Arvind Kejriwal Remanded to Judicial Custody Amidst Excise Policy Case

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was sent to judicial custody until April 15 after his Enforcement Directorate (ED) custodial remand ended in the Excise policy-linked money laundering case. Presented before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja in a packed courtroom, Kejriwal faced the ED’s plea for 15-day judicial custody, citing his alleged lack of cooperation.

Addressing reporters, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader criticized the Prime Minister’s actions, hinting at political motivations behind his arrest. AAP ministers Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, and Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal were present during the court proceedings, highlighting the significance of the case within political circles. Kejriwal was initially arrested on March 21 in connection with the case, with the ED accusing him of involvement in the Delhi liquor scam conspiracy.
