Belarus Foreign Affairs Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov has arrived in New Delhi to participate in the 18th BRICS Summit. His visit comes as leaders and senior officials from several countries gather in India for discussions on global issues, economic cooperation and international relations.

Belarus and India have maintained friendly relations for many years. The two countries have continued to strengthen cooperation in several areas, both through direct bilateral relations and through international and multilateral platforms.

Ryzhenkov’s participation in the summit is expected to provide an opportunity for Belarus to engage with other BRICS members and participating countries. Discussions at the event are likely to cover areas such as trade, investment, development, technology and cooperation among emerging economies.

Earlier on Saturday, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), also arrived in New Delhi to attend the summit. His presence highlights the growing importance of health-related cooperation in international discussions.

Global health issues have become an important part of discussions on development and economic progress. Cooperation between countries can help improve healthcare systems, strengthen preparedness for health emergencies and promote access to essential medical services.

The participation of senior officials from Belarus and the WHO adds to the international significance of the BRICS gathering. Their presence is expected to support discussions aimed at promoting greater cooperation and shared progress among countries.

With representatives from different regions coming together, the summit provides an important platform to discuss common challenges and explore new areas of cooperation for global growth and prosperity.
