Chandrababu Naidu Asserts Strong Anti-Incumbency in Andhra Pradesh
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has claimed that there is a strong anti-incumbency factor in Andhra Pradesh, unlike ever before, and that people are eagerly waiting to defeat the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in the upcoming elections. Naidu asserted that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is nervous about his party’s chances in the general elections, leading to a reshuffling of candidates in constituencies.
He predicted that the YSRCP would face defeat in the 2024 elections. Naidu criticized the YSRCP’s recent appointment of constituency in-charges, highlighting the representation of Dalits and BCs, and challenged Jagan Mohan Reddy to replace himself with a candidate from the Dalit or BC community in his constituency Pulivendula.
Naidu pledged to select the right candidates for the elections at the appropriate time and demanded a White Paper on the losses caused by Cyclone Michaung and compensation for affected farmers and property owners.
