Chennai College Student Clinches Bronze Medal in Asian Games Speed Skating Relay

Anandkumar Velkumar, a 20-year-old student from Chennai’s College of Engineering Guindy, secured a bronze medal in the Men’s Speed Skating 3000m Relay at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. Anandkumar, along with teammates Siddhant Rahul Kamble and Vikram Rajendra Ingale, trained diligently for the event, and their hard work paid off.

Anandkumar has been involved in skating for 14 years and has competed in various national and international competitions. In 2021, he won a silver medal at the World Championships. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the trio on their remarkable teamwork and expressed India’s immense pride in their accomplishment.
