Cultural Center Approved on Kapaleeswarar Temple Land

The government of Tamil Nadu has granted administrative sanction and approved the estimate and drawings for the construction of a cultural center on land belonging to the Arulmigu Kapaleeswarar temple in R. A. Puram. The center, which will showcase the traditions of Tamil Nadu and host religious events, is set to be built at an investment of ₹28.76 crore.

It will offer facilities for institutions and individuals to conduct programs highlighting Tamil traditions and religious events, including a library for Hindu spiritual books and a section dedicated to idols of deities. The center will occupy 22.80 grounds of land reclaimed from encroachments and will include exhibition spaces, halls for traditional art classes, and dining areas.
