Delhi’s Air Quality Remains ‘Very Poor’ with Some Areas in ‘Severe’ Category

The overall air quality in Delhi persisted in the ‘very poor’ category on Saturday, with some areas entering the ‘severe’ category. In Anand Vihar, the Air Quality Index (AQI) reached ‘severe’ levels with PM 2.5 at 473 and PM 10 at 464. The Bawana station recorded PM 2.5 at 481 and PM 10 at 432, both in the ‘severe’ category.

Aya Nagar’s PM 2.5 touched 341 and PM 10 at 321, categorized as ‘very poor.’ Dwarka sector 8 recorded PM 2.5 at 446 and PM 10 at 401 in the ‘severe’ category. Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport T3 area reported ‘severe’ air quality with PM 2.5 at 430 and PM 10 at 341.

The Okhla Phase-II area saw PM 2.5 at 433 and PM 10 at 407, both in the ‘severe’ category. The air quality challenge in Delhi persists, highlighting the need for sustained efforts to address pollution concerns.
