DMK Alliance Poised to Win Power Again in Tamil Nadu

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led Secular Progressive Alliance is expected to continue its rule in Tamil Nadu, according to the People’s Pulse exit poll for the upcoming state election.

The survey suggests that the ruling alliance may win between 125 and 145 seats in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly. To form a government, a party or alliance needs at least 118 seats, so this projection shows a clear majority for the DMK-led group.

If these predictions come true, the DMK alliance will return to power for a second consecutive term.

On the other hand, the main opposition alliance, led by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is expected to win around 65 to 80 seats.

This result would place the opposition well behind the ruling alliance in terms of seat count.

The exit poll indicates that voters may have largely supported the DMK-led government’s performance, allowing them to maintain a strong position in the state.

However, final results will depend on the official counting of votes, which will confirm the actual outcome of the election.

For now, the projections suggest a continued leadership for the DMK alliance in Tamil Nadu politics.
