DMK Gains Edge with Vijay’s Votes

CPI Tamil Nadu secretary M. Veerapandian believes the ruling DMK is poised for a significant victory in Tamil Nadu, possibly exceeding even the expectations of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. Despite not holding large rallies but instead engaging through smaller meetings across the state, Veerapandian is confident about DMK’s strong position in the election.

He dismisses claims that the contest is closely contested on the ground. According to him, actor C. Joseph Vijay’s support, despite drawing crowds, will ultimately benefit the DMK-led alliance rather than himself. Veerapandian explains that while Vijay attracts attention, he lacks the necessary organizational structure to convert public support into actual votes.

This assessment highlights DMK’s strategic advantage and underlines the limited impact of individual candidates without strong party backing in Tamil Nadu’s election landscape.
