Dr. S Jaishankar Meets Suriname’s Foreign Minister

India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Suriname’s Foreign Minister Melvin Bouva in Paramaribo during the 9th India-Suriname Joint Commission Meeting.

The meeting focused on strengthening relations between India and Suriname across several important sectors.

During the discussions, both leaders talked about expanding cooperation in trade, investment, defense, energy, healthcare, development assistance, culture, and people-to-people connections.

They also reviewed ongoing projects and explored new opportunities to improve bilateral ties between the two countries.

Dr. Jaishankar said the discussions were positive and productive and expressed confidence that the meeting would help deepen and broaden the partnership between India and Suriname.
