Duo Arrested for Cheating Businessman of ₹86 Lakh in Chennai

The Nandambakkam Police in Chennai arrested two individuals for allegedly cheating a businessman of ₹86 lakh under the pretext of arranging a ₹25 crore loan. B. Krishnakumar, the victim and owner of a logistics firm, sought the help of Muthuvel alias Lion Muthuvel of Villivakkam to secure a loan for business expansion.

Muthuvel accepted ₹86 lakh in three instalments as a commission for the loan arrangement but later cheated Krishnakumar. Following the deception, Krishnakumar filed a complaint with the City police commissioner, leading to the arrest of Muthuvel and Angelina Christy Nisha of Nanganallur. Muthuvel has a history of three previous cases related to cheating.
