Ensuring Uninterrupted Power Supply During Peak Summer

Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena directed Tangedco to ensure uninterrupted power supply across Tamil Nadu, particularly during the peak summer months. With the state recording its highest electricity demand on May 2, Tangedco has implemented various measures to meet the increasing power needs. A total of 60 special teams have been formed to address any disruptions in electricity supply promptly.

The Minnagam Centre operates around the clock to address complaints from residents, ensuring swift action. Despite technical snags causing disruptions, Tangedco officials are working tirelessly to restore power, as seen in the recent incident in Pattabhiram. Residents faced intermittent disruptions due to a transformer fire, but Tangedco officials are working to install a new transformer promptly to minimize inconvenience.
