IAF Apache Helicopter Sustains Damage in Precautionary Landing

An Indian Air Force AH-64E Apache attack helicopter encountered damage during a precautionary landing in Ladakh on April 4, while on a training sortie. The IAF stated that the helicopter faced terrain and altitude challenges during the landing process.

Fortunately, both pilots aboard were safe and have been recovered to the nearest airbase. A Court of Inquiry has been initiated to determine the cause of the incident. This occurrence underscores the challenges of operating aircraft in high-altitude and rugged terrain environments.
