IDF Announces Elimination of Senior Hamas Commanders Linked to October 7 Massacre
In a significant development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Friday the successful killing of several senior Hamas commanders, Ahmad Musa and Amr Alhandi, both associated with the elite Nukhba forces. Musa, a Nukhba company commander, played a pivotal role in leading the assault on the Zikim base, a nearby Kibbutz, and another army post on October 7.
The IDF’s operations in the Jabaliya region were based on intelligence provided by the Shin Bet Security agency. Additionally, Muhammed Kahlout, the head of Hamas’s sniper array in the northern Gaza brigade, was also reported killed. The IDF’s 252 battalion further claimed the elimination of 19 Hamas terrorists planning an attack on the military.
The Nukhba forces, implicated in the October 7 mayhem, have been a focus of IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) efforts. As the ground offensive in Gaza continues, the IDF has faced intense fighting, losing 34 soldiers since the operation began on October 27.
