India and Japan Discuss Energy Security and Shipbuilding
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently met Takayuki Kobayashi, a leader of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party, in New Delhi. During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between India and Japan, especially in the areas of energy security and shipbuilding.
Mr. Puri said that both countries can work together to build a safer and more sustainable energy future. He stressed that energy security is very important in today’s world and that India is focused on becoming energy-independent. According to him, cooperation with Japan can play a key role in achieving this goal.
The two leaders also explored opportunities in shipbuilding. They discussed how joint efforts in this sector could benefit both countries by improving trade, technology sharing, and industrial growth.
Mr. Puri also spoke about his recent visit to Japan and remembered his time as a diplomat there in the 1970s. He said his experience in Japan helped him understand the strong cultural and economic ties between the two nations.
Both sides agreed that India and Japan should continue to strengthen their partnership. They also highlighted that closer cooperation will help both countries deal with global energy challenges and support long-term economic development.
