India Highlights Oil and Gas Expertise at Abu Dhabi’s ADIPEC 2026
India is showcasing its growing strength in the oil and gas industry at ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi. The country aims to attract foreign investment, advanced technology, and global expertise while becoming an important manufacturing hub for the energy sector. This effort supports the government’s “Make in India” initiative.
ADIPEC 2026 is being held from November 2 to 5 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The event brings together government representatives, energy companies, investors, and technology providers from different parts of the world. More than 2,250 exhibitors are taking part in this year’s exhibition, making it an important platform for discussions about the future of the global energy industry.
India is highlighting its capabilities through a national pavilion organized with the support of leading industry organizations. These include the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
The Indian pavilion features companies from both the public and private sectors. They are presenting their achievements and capabilities in different areas of the oil and gas industry, including upstream exploration and production, midstream transportation and storage, and downstream refining and distribution.
Indian companies are also displaying locally developed technologies, engineering solutions, and new energy innovations. These efforts aim to demonstrate India’s ability to provide quality products and services to international markets.
The Indian pavilion was officially inaugurated by Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, along with India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Deepak Mittal.
During the inauguration, Dr. Neeraj Mittal highlighted two important initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s energy sector. The first is Samudra Manthan, India’s deepwater exploration programme, which focuses on exploring energy resources in deep-sea areas.
The second initiative is the promotion of compressed biogas production from agricultural waste under the Waste-to-Wealth programme. This initiative aims to turn agricultural waste into useful energy while supporting cleaner energy production and reducing waste.
Dr. Neeraj Mittal stated that India’s participation in ADIPEC 2026 is an important opportunity to build stronger partnerships with international energy companies. The country hopes to attract more foreign investment, advanced technologies, and expertise through its participation.
India’s presence at the exhibition reflects its ambition to strengthen its position in the global oil and gas industry. By promoting domestic manufacturing, innovative technologies, and international cooperation, the country aims to support long-term growth and create new opportunities in the energy sector.
