India Pauses Sindoor on Its Terms: Rajnath
India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh strongly criticized Pakistan during his speech at the National Security Summit 2.0, organized by ANI on April 30, 2026.
During his address, Singh accused Pakistan of continuing to support terrorism and described the country as a major center for international terrorist activities. He said that terrorism remains one of the biggest threats to regional and global security and stressed that India has consistently taken strong measures to combat it.
Rajnath Singh highlighted that India’s counter-terrorism operations have been carefully planned and effectively executed. He said India’s security forces have shown strong capability in responding to threats and protecting national interests.
Speaking about Operation Sindoor, Singh stated that India had voluntarily paused the operation based entirely on its own strategic decisions, rather than because of any military or political limitations. He emphasized that the decision reflected India’s strength and control over the situation.
He also made it clear that India is fully prepared for prolonged conflict if necessary. According to Singh, the country has both the determination and capability to respond to long-term security challenges when national interests are at stake.
His remarks reinforced India’s firm stance on terrorism and national defense, while also sending a strong message about the country’s readiness to protect its security.
