Indian army honors the martyrs of the Kargil War of 1999

The Indian Army is organizing a series of ceremonies and events to honor the martyrs of the Kargil War of 1999. The main event will take place at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras on July 25-26 to mark the 24th commemoration of the victory.

The ceremony will be attended by Army and civil administration dignitaries, gallantry award winners, and families of the martyrs. In addition to the main event, various competitions and events have been planned for the local population who wholeheartedly supported the operations during the war.

These include a marathon race, painting, archery, cricket, and polo matches, scheduled to take place until July 23. The commemoration serves as a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought during the Kargil War.
