Infrastructure Boost for North Chennai Under Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated 87 civic infrastructure projects in north Chennai, marking a significant step towards the region’s development. These projects, including solid waste management facilities, bus stands, affordable housing, schools, bridges, and hospitals, are part of the Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam.

With an estimated cost of ₹4,181 crore allocated for these initiatives, the government aims to address key demands of residents, such as sewer networks, playgrounds, and parks. Over the next three years, 11 departments and civic agencies will spearhead a total of 200 infrastructure projects, enhancing the overall infrastructure landscape of north Chennai.

The comprehensive approach to development underscores the government’s commitment to improving the living standards and amenities in the region, reflecting a significant milestone in north Chennai’s growth trajectory under the leadership of the DMK government.
