Infrastructure Boost on Chennai-Tiruttani High Road

Work on two new flyovers on Chennai-Tiruttani High (CTH) Road is set to begin within a year, with land acquisition nearing completion. These flyovers, located at the Vanagaram-Ambattur Road and Korattur junctions, are expected to significantly ease traffic congestion. Each flyover, projected to cost ₹110 crore, will feature four lanes to accommodate through traffic, handling up to 70% of vehicles at these busy intersections.

Additionally, plans include constructing two more grade separators and widening existing road overbridges to enhance traffic flow. With traffic volumes surging due to ongoing development, these upgrades aim to reduce waiting times at junctions and improve overall road safety. Further projects, including additional flyovers and road widening, are scheduled for the next fiscal year, addressing the growing demands on this crucial roadway.
